The horror! The horror! This week Kyle and Matthew sit down with Radtober favorites Chris Korn and Lawrence Mercado to creep through the history of horror movies. Where does horror come from? They start with German Expressionism and dive into the Universal movie monsters, the era of teenage delinquency and monster movies, the ’70s film school generation, the slasher films and anthology series of the ’80s, ’90s found footage films and Japanese horror, the 2000s’ obsession with zombies, torture porn and Paranormal Activity, up to the spooktacular indie films of today.
