09 Sep Kang-ho Song
This week Kyle and Matthew are joined by James D Hillmer for a chat about Korean actor Kang-ho Song. James is currently in a doctoral program studying Korean culture and suggested using Kang-ho Song to explore the world of Korean cinema. In the last few decades, Korean cinema has risen to international prominence. While early breakouts like Oldboy or The Host appealed to genre fans, the 2019 best picture win for Parasite shows just how much impact Korean cinema is having around the world. If you’re unfamiliar with Korean cinema or saw Parasite and want to see more, this isn’t a bad place to start.
